About

About the razors;

1095 steel is used for the edges of all of the razors. I have found 1095 steel, when heat treated properly, to be an excellent  steel for the cutting edge of a razor. The fancy razors are made using San Mai or modified San Mai construction so as to keep any forge welds out of the actual cutting edge.

The grind is either a full hollow or bellied full hollow on all of my razors.

I am presently making my scales out of an in house mycarta, Kirinite, or bone. I usually use 1-72 screws for the fasteners, though I sometimes use riveted brass pins. I will change the scale material and pinning of any of the in stock razors on request.

The in stock razors are used by me in a rotation for continual product testing, though they will have a new edge honed on them upon sale. This new edge is typically only the second time that the razor is honed so the razor will not show any wear. If you are bothered by this I will make a new razor in a similar pattern to the in in stock razor with scales of your choice. In stock razors ship immediately upon payment, and custom made can usually ship in a couple of weeks.

All of my razors include free lifetime honing,  just pay $15 shipping & handling.
